Casa Hostes, Milos, Greece is a contemporary Cycladic residence designed as a quiet retreat immersed in the natural landscape of Milos. Positioned carefully within the terrain, the project explores the relationship between architecture, raw materiality, and the changing light of the Aegean.

The house was conceived as a family vacation home where architecture supports rest, gathering, and connection to nature. Every space opens toward the horizon while remaining protected from the strong island winds. The composition follows a sequence of courtyards, shaded passages, terraces, and framed sea views, creating a gradual transition between interior and exterior living.

Local stone extracted directly from the site became a defining element of the project. Combined with natural wood and soft cement plaster, the material palette reflects the architectural language of the Cyclades while introducing a more contemporary spatial clarity. Thick stone walls anchor the residence into the landscape, while lighter volumes appear carved by sunlight and shadow.

Large openings maximize natural ventilation and daylight throughout the day. Pergolas filter the intense Mediterranean sun, creating calm outdoor living areas connected to the pool and surrounding landscape. The infinity pool visually extends toward the sea, reinforcing the sense of openness and stillness that defines the project.

Casa Hostes, Milos, Greece was designed not as an isolated architectural object, but as an extension of the island itself. The residence respects the topography, preserves the natural character of the site, and embraces the simplicity of Cycladic living through restraint, proportion, and material honesty.

The result is a timeless Mediterranean home where architecture, landscape, and atmosphere exist in quiet balance, a contemporary villa deeply rooted in the identity of Milos, Greece.
